THE CREEPS (CREATOR/ACTOR) Days and nights roll into one in this ambiguous brothel, as the Circus of Oddities promises “a real good time.” Dark, creepy, moving, and shockingly funny, these characters explore humanity on the fringes of society, and how isolation and guilt can turn us into creeps. Winner of the United Solo 2018 Award for Best Physical Theatre and 5 star reviews Off-Broadway.

BIOGRAPHY
Catherine Waller is an award winning actress and writer who loves having her hands in every aspect of the creative process. Born and raised in New Zealand to American parents, she holds a valid passport and can work in both countries.
Her solo show The Creeps has won awards both Off-Broadway and internationally, and is debuting at Auckland's Q theatre in February 2022. She has worked with directors Eric Stoltz on feature film Confessions of a Teenage Jesus Jerk, Janicza Bravo on Judd Apatow's LOVE in which she played Bertie's sister, and Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Directors, Little Miss Sunshine) on a commercial where she played a hungover bride. Her role (Amber) on award-winning comedy Hounds (Winner, Best Comedy Series NZTV Awards; "The Best Kiwi Comedy Ever Made", The New Zealand Herald) on Netflix won her Best Newcomer nomination in the TV Guide's Best on the Box Awards. She is currently developing feature film Golden Boy director Alex Plumb (Finalist, NZ International Film Festival) and producers Jasmine Duthie, Jill Soper and Roger Shakes, adapted from the award winning short film. She is blissfully married to her wife, and is currently living in New York and works wherever the work takes her, which is hopefully somewhere with her favorite New Zealand coffee. |
